Stephen Clark@StephenClark1ASAP’s George Nield: Fault tree nearly complete on SpaceX’s investigation into Crew Dragon static fire explosion.1:01 PM · Sep 6, 2019
Simultaneously, Shotwell stated this morning that "this is first year we’re ready before customers [which is] why some launches [are] slipping into 2020." So it's probably a satellite/customer-side delay.https://twitter.com/jeff_foust/status/1171431933865127937My bold:QuoteSpaceX: expect to launch 7-8 more times this year. Shireman also confirms that changes to DM2 #Dragon now allow it to remain at ISS for a long duration & - while NO agreement has been struck - NASA & #SpaceX are looking at *potentially* extending DM2 to a longer duration flight. Again, NOT AN AGREEMENT, just a consideration.
Shireman also confirmed it technically wasn't possible for #DM2 to remain at Station for long duration originally, which is why #Starliner's crew test was extended up to 6 months while #SpaceX's wasn't. DM2 now technically can stay longer, hence why it's now a consideration.
#SpaceX built DM2 capsule for planned 2-week test flight. DM-2's original capsule will now be the In-Flight Abort capsule, & the first long-duration capsule will now be DM-2's capsule following the SuperDraco failure in April. Hence, it's now possible for DM2 to stay longer.

Installing SuperDraco engines, which will power Crew Dragon’s launch escape system, for the first mission with @NASA astronauts on board
NASA says they've done everything to allow #DM2 (SpaceX's crew test flight) to stay for a long duration mission on ISS. NASA is just waiting for time to pass as the vehicles work through final certifications for flight. #SpaceX #Dragon #NASA
OK wow, thanks, what is included in "everything" there? Specifically does that include suitable mission training for the astronauts to cover the expected activities on a long stay?
Yes.
Elon posted a beautiful CGI video of this mission[link removed]Attached is the MP4 of the video
Reed: the Crew Dragon for the Demo-2 crewed test flight should be completed and delivered to Cape Canaveral by the end of this month.
SpaceX's Benji Reed says the company is on track for completing and delivering the Crew Dragon spacecraft for the Demo-2 flight to Kennedy Space Center by the end of this month.
